Cars are great! But what about safety?!

This is my daily driver, E46 BMW 3 series.
I love it, much like I love most cars, but there is one thing that differentiates my car from the cars I drive and review each week and that is maintenance.
In particular, tyre maintenance. They keep you on the road, without them you aren't going anywhere! which brings me to my story...
Recently, I noticed that my car was rattling in the front, I suspected the top hats or the shocks, so I took the car to Steves Tyre Service (tag) because I had heard good things about the knowledge of the staff there.
One of Steve's staff, Dean, took my car for a quick spin around the block (in a particularly bumpy street) to check for noises and knocks - on return, he confirmed it was the top hats.
So, we ordered these straight away in preparation for repair. They showed up within a day and Steve called to book a time.
I dropped the car off on (insert day here) and was presented a loan car whilst the work was carried out, which in itself was exceptional service... just add it to the list.

When I returned to pick up the car, I was a little shocked (excuse the pun) because not only had the repair taken place, BUT, Steve had also given my tyres a free balance, rotation and safety check, with a sticker to remind me when next to book a visit!
Needless to say, I was (and still am) blown away.
As previously mentioned, I am all about driving and enjoying the vehicles I am privileged to be given each week, but, not often enough do people in my position really talk about things that matter more than the car itself, the safety of the passengers inside! Steves Tyre Service are the cherry on top of that safety, phenomenal service, friendly staff, incredible all round car knowledge and, most importantly, a clear cut message about safety!
I look forward to my next trip to Ngata Street in Palmerston North - I am thinking new rims could be on the cards!
