A month or so ago, I got the opportunity to drive this car and I was a little concerned at first.

In my mind, a Mustang MUST be a V8 - I was wrong.

This 233Kw, 434Nm, 4 cylinder intercooled turbo is actually quite an exceptional vehicle.

You get ALL the looks of the V8, but for a substantially lower price. There isn't much to dislike about the car at all, in fact. However, I have one thing to say, V8 noise, is so much more impressive than 4 cylinder - you can buy a 'kit' which adds noise, but its not the same.

One thing I would do, is buy the EcoBoost upgrades. This can give the car more power than the V8 (not the sound, but the power)

An aftermarket Turbo, Intercooler, Down Pipe, Intake Kit and Cat Back Exhaust Kit can give you an additional 150HP - which, all things considered, is enough power to give this car that 'danger' back you lose by dropping 4 cylinders.

The styling on both is similar - you need to have a keen eye to see the differences, or, read below..

1. The badges - The ecoboost is the pony, the V8 has the GT badge

2. The 5.0 badge on the side of the GT

3. Front Grille, plastic on the 2.3L, uninterrupted honeycomb on the GT

4. The rims - on the GT they are multi spoked, on the 2.3L they are double 5 spokes

5. Brake Callipers - on the GT they are 4 piston brembos, the 2.3L has two piston
